Sir P. Chater came to see me again
yesterday and he agreed that all that we can
do is to try and get the War Office to move the
troops from Murray Barracks to Gun Club Hill. I
suggested that on his return to the Colony he should get on with the drawings etc., for the new Town Hall.
The only way we are likely to get a move on is by means of a private letter from the
